...know what I like about Asian cakes? They don't taste super sweet. I like cakes that tingle and tease, but ultimately doesn't intrude my taste buds. Almost like a conversation with a polite person who's entertaining and smart, not a loud and obnoxious know-it-all....

...the packaging material is very high-quality...I'm going to shamefully admit I save them and reuse them again as gift-wrapping later on in the year. lol. I'm serious. Papyrus and Hallmark doesn't even have material this good...

I am a regular and a frequent participant of their almond cream cheese breads here. It really fills me up and great after a morning run. The texture is so soft and weightless, and the insides are just oozing with that delicious cream cheese. The only thing better are their croissants, especially the chocolate ones! Is this place Korean, because I could swear it's authentic French! So pasty, so rich in chocolate...so perfect in nuttiness.

Tours Les Jours rocks!!! The spectacular amount of choices from breads to pastries and their cakes are a delight to everyone. Seriously, the balance between cream and cake are consistently perfect, which is a far cry from its competitors, who sometimes seems like they even forgot the cream. This Super H-Mart bakery puts the entire Chinatown bakeries to shame. Absolutle shame. Plus their cake designs are beautiful and the cakes are light...wonderful as if made from heaven. I can't remember one thing here that was bad and they're always running out of things quickly because they are in such demand! The workers here are very professional and nice, which is an absolute bonus to me. I like to look through their glass wall and see them work on the cakes. You know it's fresh because of that. Thank God I run every morning as often as I do because I would be an obese by now.

But just when you think it's French, there shows a nice Korean side to it. After all, this is a Korean bakery that is influenced in French style. A croquette costs $1.25, not very greasy, yet still scrumptiously addicting. They're so good you won't mind the slightly higher prices. It's still in an affordable price range. It's so good, you can even go to Super H-Mart just for this bakery alone. I would say by far it's the best part of the supermarket, certainly the most popular part. And it's right by the doorway, pretty as can be. You can't miss it!

Even though I've never been to Korea, I do think it's a good Asian bakery comparing to the ones I've been to in the nicer parts of China, Vietnam, Japan and Thailand. How I wish they had a curry bun, but how can I complain? They're so good as it is. Maybe I'm just being greedy. They offer various packages of loaves, sliced similarly to bakeries in Asia, particularly Japan, ranging from assorted styles. There's cream cakes in independent or full sizes up front. Plus, Tous Les Jours sells iced drinks, coffees and teas as well. You can't find this stuff so well done in Houston. I saw on Chopstix Houston they gave Six Ping Bakery an A+? Please! Tous Les Jours blows it to smithereens! If you're one of the reviews who gave Six Ping Bakery an A+, please try Tous Les Jours in Super H-Mart.

This bakery is going to be a force to deal with because there's simply nothing close to better in Houston. Again, look at the ratings in Chopstix Houston for bakeries, and ignore all the other A averages. Tous Les Jours is it. No one's even close to second place. Not that silly bakery in Ranch 99. The quality of these cakes, every single bite, is art. Your mouth will feel like Picasso. You'd have to go to somewhere like Shanghai to get something like this.

Finally, their coffee is fresh. They won't ever give out one that's drained longer than 40 minutes. It says so in the cup. Awesome. You're sure to receive a nicely made coffee everytime you buy one. This bakery is perfect!
