...their raw beef isn't too fresh, I soaked it into the hot broth for a moment, but it came across a little stale. I like chicken in my pho and there didn't seem to be much options for that, if any. It was just beef, beef, beef, beef...

...easy to find, nice big sign, really comfortable kind of area, pretty family-orientated. You won't think anything bad about it, and I think I will be returning with the wife whenever we are in the area and in need of some good pho...

So Pho Dien rubs me the wrong way for several reasons. First, the cold shoulder of the waitresses. The moment I sat in, they asked me what I wanted. I was, like, bitch hand me the menu first! Then, they didn't bother to check back on my girlfriend and I until I went where the server girl was sitting (yes, sitting!) and I said "hey, we're hungry. Take our order". She rolled her eyes and said "okay, what do you want?!" WTF. Didn't make eye contact or anything. Listen, girl, you may be pretty in Vietnam where you came from, but here, you ain't [explicit]. Don't give us the pretty girl syndrome, because at the end of the day, you're working at Pho Dien. You're not a supermodel. Sorry, hate to start off my review with the vent at this waitress but she pisses me off with her attitude.

But I have a more criticisms of this restaurant than a bad attitude princess waitress.

I don't really dig their pho. Sure, it's not the worst, and it's not even bad, but there's just so many better options in the area. The noodles are scarce, no wonder they constantly charge for extra noodles! You have to go treasure hunting with your chopsticks in the sea of broth to find things. Yeah, and about the broth...it was alright, a bit watery. I added lots of hot sauce to make it taste a little better, but it wasn't the best either. Girlfriend thought the same too. They have four sizes (three on the menu): x-large, large, small and baby. Perhaps it was my lack of depth perception, but the displayed sizes of the bowls make them larger than they actually appeared. I ordered the large thinking it would be huge, but it's just a regular looking bowl with minimal anything in it (maximum amount of broth).

The prices are a little high, particularly on the drinks. I'm not down with drinks that should cost half the price of what they're charging ($2-$4). When you consider that their large is $6.50, one drink is almost close to the cost of an entire pho. And their choices are very limited. Nice looking menu though, I'll give 'em that. Here's the icing on the cake for me to not like this place...I handed them a number of dollar bills to make up for $20.00 (the total cost was $19-something), the owner/cashier guy yells at me that I didn't have enough. That got me fairly pissed off. I told him to count it again, and to stop calling me a thief. He did and he realized he had just miscounted. By this time, he should apologize right? Instead, he tells me in English to carry more $20-bills. What an [explicit].

Not coming back to this establishment again. There's better all over this area and Boone Rd. a block away. Screw these people and their stuck-up attitude. And that princess waitress. And that owner. And their stingy bowls. Don't come here and give them any business. Man, I'm done.
